I had the most magical thing happen to me the other day. I was in Lafayette Park for a dear friends going away party. While walking down a path out of the park, I noticed some flowers on another path nearby. I stopped, thought about it, and kept walking. My friend Sarah suggested we go check it out.
It was a beautiful fresh hand-tied bouquet in an adorable burlap sack with an attached card that read "take me home tonight." What? We were surprised, confused, and then full of joy. Anne left a few of these out and about in SF to brighten someone's day. That it did! Bright colors, wax flowers, anemones, protea - great choices!
Signs like this I believe are from above (God, the universe, karma-whatever works for you) that everything is going to be ok.
I then paid it forward and gave the flowers to my friend Melina. They had brought me so much joy, I felt the love and positive energy from a stranger, and I wanted to share the gift with someone else.
I'm sure Annie also had a ball with this little project. Not only is it fun to receive, it is also joyous to give little gifts like this. So, pick up the tab for the lunch. Drop off some soup for your neighbor. Pay the toll for the person behind you. Spread joy throughout your community. It's contagious!
Thank you Annie for the bouquet and for making the world a better place. My friend Sarah was so excited that I was the one to discover the flowers as they are my style and I am someone who would actually take your class-meant to be!
