Ok, besides our family dogs growing up and Nala, this may be my favorite dog I've ever met. Doesn't he look like a stuffed animal?
I met this floppy puppy in Dolores Park in 2013. I thought I wrote down his owner's email address correctly, but either he is frightened of me or I missed a letter, because he has not responded to my requests to hang with this dog again or connect with his breeder.
This dog is a Tibetan Mastiff, which is usually black & tan. This red color is more rare, and more expensive. Actually the most expensive dog in the world so far is a Tibetan Mastiff. This guy below is 180 pounds and sold for $1.5 million dollars. Everyone knows I have expensive taste!
Tibetan Mastiffs are not normally as the one I met....he was special. He wins the prize for the floppiest dog I have ever met. More mellow than Crumpet; he seemed like he had been drugged, and he was a puppy! I hope one day I see him again. (his owner is on the right of the photo below-does anyone know him?!). Such a great personality-so very chill.
