During a recent phone conversation, my sister was encouraging Jane to talk to me, and was thinking of topics to draw her out:
Jane, can you tell Aunt Neely about what you did at school today?
I don't want to.
Do you want to talk about the park and the cool slide?
No.
Jane, why don't you tell Aunt Neely what you learned at swimming yesterday?
No.
Ok, Jane, what DO you want to talk about?
I want to talk about TACOS.
