How about some marsala clothes!
How to incorporate it? Marsala looks beautiful with ivory, gold, or a light tan/blush color. Add texture for a rich fall feel. Marsala will translate into the holidays as well.
What is marsala?
Marsala was the 2015 Pantone Color of the Year. Think of red wine or burgundy. From the Pantone website:
"Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings, and interiors."
What about a marsala bag for fall? Ideas below.
Inspired by a friend's wedding, I am noticing marsala everything right now. Let's start with shoes. A great color for fall! Ideas below.
September is a great time to buy a new swimsuit as they are on sale!
Different from the moto leather jacket, I am also seeing a lot of the drape jacket. Thinner and floppier than it's moto cousin, they work well for those mid-range fall days. Some examples below.
Heading out for some fall shopping? Do you have a leather jacket? Here are some ideas for you.
My sweet husband bought me 2 new things as an early anniversary gift! We were in Healdsburg for the weekend, and of course I came across a few items I liked (see photo above of me in the dressing room). I decided I didn't "need" them, but he said let's do it & call it an anniversary gift. So, I am now the proud owner of a new hat & sunglasses. Both of which I wear all the time, evidenced by the photo below. What do you think? Sweet husband + great gifts=good combo!
These were purchased at Looking Glass in Healdsburg, or other options to buy online below.

I stumbled across the most amazing small local shoe store in Ostuni, Italy, which has been around for 40 years. If you're headed to Puglia, Ostuni is a must, along with this chic reasonably priced sandal store, Erredibi!
When you walk in, here is what you see. I mean, where do you start? They are all so cute!
Here are the 2 pairs that I chose, and my sweet husband purchased them for me. Looking back, I wish I had bought more for friends & family for gifts.
Erredibi has a few stores in Southern Italy. They do have a website, but the cost to ship is twice the price of the shoes........so, use it as an excuse to head to Italy!
Although not quite the same.....some examples below of similar simple flat styles you can get in the USA.
