Ladies - shave your face - everyone's doing it. This beauty secret is popping up on blogs all over.
I discovered this tip a few years ago at a dermatologist appointment. She asked what I was planning to do with the hair on my face, to which I replied, "what hair?" She gently pointed out how I had very light blonde peach fuzz, and suggested that make up will go on much smoother without the hair. She demonstrated with a $4 Flamingo razor (order on Amazon) and I was amazed how much fluff came off my face.
1. Does it hurt?
Nope
2. But doesn’t it grow back thicker & darker?
Nope. Not in my experience! You will notice the hair more - remember you didn't notice it before.
3. How often?
Maybe every 2 weeks or so? When I notice.
4. What do I need?
I use Flamingo Razor. Not expensive, order on Amazon. Say they're for your eyebrows.
5. Does a leg razor work?
I wouldn’t use a women’s leg razor.
6. Any other tips?
Do it on dry skin. Make sure your skin is VERY clean first too.
7. Quick how-to?
As Popsugar says: “Pull the skin taut, then start shaving downward on your skin in short strokes. You can’t just drag the razor against your skin — it wouldn’t do anything. Also, hold the razor at a 45-degree angle against the skin. Don’t freak when it looks like you skinned a lamb. You have more hair on your face than you think!”
I wrote about this trend a few months ago, but since it is still popping up, I am writing about it again. An easy inexpensive cure for peach fuzz = flamingo razor!
